FindBikeDocs is a directory that connects cyclists with mobile bike mechanics. We respect your privacy and want to be upfront about what we collect and why.

What We Collect

We only collect information that's needed to run the directory:

• Account info— Name, email address, and password when you sign up.
• Mechanic profiles— Business name, service area, services offered, photos, and contact details that mechanics choose to share publicly.
• Reviews— Ratings and comments left on mechanic profiles.
• Contact form messages— Name, email, and message content when you reach out to us.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use FindBikeDocs — things like which pages are visited most, how people find the site, and what devices they use. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data anonymously. We don't tie any of this information to your personal identity. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How We Use Your Information

• To display mechanic profiles in the directory
• To send you account-related emails (confirmations, approvals)
• To respond to your contact form messages
• To improve the site based on usage patterns

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share your personal information with third parties except as needed to operate the service (email delivery, hosting, analytics).

Third-Party Services

FindBikeDocs relies on a small number of third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — Database and authentication
• Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions
• Google Analytics — Anonymous site usage data
• Resend — Transactional emails
• Vercel — Hosting

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you'd like more detail.

Data Retention

We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. Just reach out at support@findbikedocs.com or use our contact form.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top and post a notice on the site. For minor wording tweaks, we'll just update the page.
